Doctrinal
Statement
CWRC holds the following to be true:
-
That the guilt of Adam’s sin,
imputed to every member of the human race, constitutes
the ground for condemnation of all men indiscriminately.
The consequent sinning of mankind, stemming from a corrupt
and depraved nature, exhibits the carnage wrought to
us through Adam’s sin. (Romans 5:12-21)
-
That salvation is all of grace through
faith alone, apart from any works or any religious rituals,
in the finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ, Who died
on behalf of spiritually dead sinners once and for all
time. (Ephesians 2:1-9)
-
That justification is first and foremost
the acquittal of the repentant sinner based solely upon
the righteousness of Christ alone. (Romans 3:28, Galatians
2:16, Titus 3:5)
-
That the imputed righteousness of
Christ is the sole ground of justification of poor guilty
sinners. (Romans 3:1-4:9)
-
That regeneration precedes and produces
faith in the heart of those born from above (John 1:13;
3:1-8)
-
That God has chosen His elect and
placed them in Christ, where they are eternally secure
and at peace with God, whereby nothing can separated
them from the love of God. (Romans 8)
-
That all of God’s elect are
endowed with the fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit,
along with the indwelling of the Spirit of God. (I Corinthians
12:4-7, Ephesians 1:13, I Peter 1:2)
-
That Scripture as contained in the
Old Testament (39 books, English) and in the New Testament
(27 books, English) is our only infallible and sufficient
rule for salvation and sanctification. (II Timothy 3:16)
That salvation is of the
Lord and cannot be manipulated through the religious obedience’s
of man, and that all religions on the face of the earth
are to be counted as nothing in light of the revelation
of the gospel of Jesus Christ, which teaches us that faith
alone in the finished work of Christ alone is the heart’s
belief of the child of God. (Romans 11:6) |
